Aikido has many different blends, movements, and techniques — all of which still use the original Japanese names — these can be often confusing to even more experienced aikidoka. In order to assist our members to learn some of the basics, a downloadable members’ handbook is attached below. It includes various information about aikido and the Center, including:
- Dojo etiquette
- Terminology (technique, blends, Japanese greetings)
- Testing requirements (Adults and Kids)
The handbook is a living document, representing the ongoing needs of the Aikido community of our dojo.
The most current Aikido & Healing Arts Center handbook can be downloaded here: Aikido-Members-Handbook Revised
